Ni Hao, I'm Lulu Liang, the founder, designer, and maker at DEAR LUU. From a young age, I've been immersed in the world of making—knitting, crocheting, sewing, and patchwork. I've always believed that "once a maker, always a maker," because creating with our hands infuses our lives with joy and vitality.

Despite this lifelong passion, I never envisioned turning my hobbies into a full-time endeavor until a pivotal moment in 2020, when I faced a Stage II Lymphoma diagnosis. Enduring 12 rounds of chemotherapy and subsequent radiotherapy, I journeyed through to full recovery. This experience taught me that while treatment might be finite, healing is an ongoing process. It prompted a profound reevaluation of my life and aspirations.

Faced with the contemplation of my future, I realized it was time to shed the societal expectations that had long confined me and embrace my deep-rooted yearning for a life of craftsmanship. This realization led me to make a significant life change—I left my office job of many years to pursue my passion for handmade crafts. Thus, DEAR LUU was born, marking the beginning of a journey not just of artistic endeavor, but of healing, self-discovery, and the celebration of making.
